'...peer pressure can provide the motivation to stick to our fitness resolutions when willpower is not enough.
Scientists have found that having a “fitness buddy” has such a galvanising impact that fewer than one in 10 drop out of a new exercise regime after a year.
The findings will encourage those who failed to get past January 12, the second Friday in the month, which sees the single greatest drop in keep-fit activity, according to data collated by Strava, the fitness app for cyclists and runners.'
